The wide sheepfoot blade is forged from damascus steel and finished to a bright  mirror polish. The sheepfoot profile features a straight cutting edge and a spine that  curves gently down to meet a broad, squared working tip — a geometry purpose-built for  controlled ranch and field cutting tasks including rope work, strapping, camp prep, and  general outdoor utility. The integrated finger notch at the ricasso provides a natural  index point for a firm, controlled grip. Damascus steel sharpens quickly, holds a  keen working edge, and responds well to field maintenance with a whetstone or strop.

Handle — Wenge Hardwood with Malachite Resin Inlay

The scales are cut from wenge — a dense African hardwood with a rich espresso tone  and the fine parallel linear grain that makes every handle one of a kind. Wenge is  naturally hard, moisture-resistant, and built to last through years of field use without  swelling or cracking. Set into the upper handle is a bold triangular malachite resin  inlay, framed by copper spacer liners that draw a sharp contrast between the dark grain  and vivid green. Brass pins lock the full-tang construction, and a brass eyelet at the  rounded pommel accepts a lanyard for secure carry.

Sheath — Black Leather with Dull Gold Engraved Western Scrollwork

The included sheath is handcrafted from full-grain black leather with deeply engraved  antique-gold acanthus scrollwork in a classic Western design — bold enough to stand on  its own as a piece of leatherwork. The horizontal pancake carry sits flush to the body  with dual belt slots on the reverse for a stable, low-profile draw. White saddle stitching  runs the full perimeter. Maintenance

• Apply a light coat of mineral oil or food-grade oil to the blade after use to    prevent oxidation — damascus steel responds quickly to moisture.
  
• Wipe the wenge handle with a dry cloth; condition occasionally with beeswax or    wood oil to maintain the finish.
  
• Sharpen at 20–22° per side using a whetstone or ceramic rod.
  
• Do not store in the sheath for extended periods.
